Tri the Lough on Saturday 2nd August

The inaugural Tri the Lough Sprint Triathlon was organised by Omagh Tri Club at the fantastic venue of The Lough at Loughmacrory in 2010 and has gone from strength to strength ever since, having been named as part of the National series in 2012. Now attracting a top quality field the event had over 400 entrants in August 2013.

A top class Sprint Tri-athlon distance event for all Tri-athletes to enjoy in glorious surroundings, the eagerly awaited 2014 events will be staged again at Loughmacrory on Saturday 2nd August, from 2pm.

The venue recently saw major publicity following a massive £1 Million+ development project which seen national and international standards in facilities for handball, angling, football, running and of course a hugely improved setup and structure for the forthcoming 2014 Tri the Lough event.

‘The Lough’, as it is referred to locally, is one of Tyrone’s hidden gems. If you enjoy a walk in fresh countryside air, then you should come to Loughmacrory, and walk around the lough shore. The 1.3 mile gravel hiking path around the lough is a popular destination for walkers from throughout the county.

The event will be sponsored in 2014 by Dan Developments.
